I relocated 2 months ago and packed my stuffed animals in a box. I'm planning on taking them out and putting them on display, but I'm a little concerned about cleaning them. I want to make sure they're not dusty before I place them on my bed. I read on some sites that they can be washed by putting them in pillowcases and tying the ends. Have you tried this? What are your methods of keeping them clean?

Hmmm! I'd just get somebody to read the washing instructions on the labels for me, also do it for me if possible. I have all my stuffed animals/soft toys in this lobster pot net thing on display as it's suspended from the ceiling here in my room. Dust doesn't really bother me with soft toys though.

i'd try shakilng and whatcking them outside before washing them. often after they are put through the washer the plush or fir isn't like it used to be. make sure they can be washed. often the stuffing inside can really get mussed up.
I don't recommend washing them unles it's a dog toy and then you won't mind how the stuffing inside looks after washing. If one is really old or something like that, sometimes you can get it dry-cleaned.
My best advice is put them up and then just wipe them off now and then with a dry cloth or shake them outside or set them outside and turn a fan on them to blow the dust off. Then the dust will be outside and not all over the house.
